ARISE Academy

ARISE Academy is a Transformational charter school located in the Upper Ninth Ward of New Orleans.  ARISE Academy arose from the aftermath of hurricane Katrina - a rekindled dedication to quality early education for all children in New Orleans.   Each day, over 240 scholars in Grades K through 3 are enthusiastically working on one mission: college preparation for each child. A collective group of dedicated educators have accepted this challenge to build a school of excellence in what has been a historically underserved location and population. Ground zero for Hurricane Katrina is now home to academic excellence!

Arthur Ashe Charter School

The mission of Arthur Ashe Charter School is to provide an Education for Life. It is an open admissions, public charter school operated by FirstLine Schools, a local nonprofit dedicated to creating and inspiring great public schools in New Orleans. Arthur Ashe Charter School helps students acquire the academic skills to achieve in high school and college, while providing a caring community and a variety of activities that nurture students' intellectual, social and emotional growth. Edward Hynes Charter School at Dillard University (2601 Gentilly Blvd)
The Hynes family is committed to providing all students with a culturally diverse learning community producing proficient readers, writers, problem solvers and critical thinkers in order to be succesful in a changing world.
